Breakfast Treat (Baked Egg Pancake)
(6 servings) Printable Version
- pie pan
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 large eggs
While oven preheats and butter melts, beat eggs, with milk and flour. When oven is done preheating, pull pie pan out and pour batter into pan. Do not mix batter into pie pan.
Put pan back in oven and bake for 20 minutes. Take out of oven, slice, and serve.
You can add powdered sugar or syrup to Breakfast Treat to make it taste sweeter. You could also have it savory with salsa or cheese. Basically, you can top it the same way you would with pancakes or an omelet.
A cross between baked eggs and a puff pancake.

Definitely needs vanilla or cinnamon and probably some baking powder so it'll puff up a little. I'll stick with pancakes over this.

I added blueberries and a dash of vanilla. I mixed the melted butter with the batter and hand mixed it well. It was awesome and popped up into a big popover with the blueberries in the center. I dusted it with powered sugar before serving.

FYI, you can add syrup, powdered sugar or your suggestions to this.

I thought this was bland. It is just egg. It needs more taste like fruit or cinnimon.
