Black Forest Coffee

Black Forest Coffee

(1 serving)    Printable Version
  • 6 ounces hot black coffee (fills about 3/4th of a standard coffee cup)
  • 2 Tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon maraschino cherry juice
  • whipped cream - for topping
  • chocolate shavings - for topping
  • 1 Maraschino cherry - for topping
This drink was an absolute success. You can probably tell what you're in for by looking at the ingredients. I'm glad to report that it's even better than it sounds. The mocha flavor of coffee mixed with whipped cream marries the flavor of chocolate covered cherries. I loved it as an indulgent treat with breakfast. It would also work as the perfect ending to an evening meal. Overall impression: Fantastico! (This recipe was submitted in 2009. It was tested and photographed in August 2014.)

How To Make Black Forest Coffee

Pour the coffee into a coffee mug (the larger the mug - the more room for whipped cream). Add the chocolate syrup and cherry juice and stir.

Top generously with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and a cherry.

I've fallen in love with a cup of coffee. I want to marry this recipe. Thanks to my friend Gail and all the ladies of "Beaver Brunch Club" for introducing me to this one:)

Great recipe. I was in the mood for a Starbucks-type coffee drink, but couldn't be bothered to leave the house. I had everything except the chocolate shavings. Very happy right now.
