Sunrise Surprise

Sunrise Surprise

(1 serving)    Printable Version
  • 1 large scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 Tablespoons honey
  • 3 to 5 ice cubes
  • 1 egg
Crack egg into blender, add remaining items into blender and blend until smooth and frothy.

Consider a sprinkle of cinnamon on top for a final touch.

This will help keep you feeling full until 3 in the afternoon - at least it does for me (Tom Wright). This recipe is from my favorite restaurant in Florida.

I make something sort of similar. I replace the ice cream with vanilla yogurt, add a banana and don't use any egg. It's one of my favorite smoothies I make.

Use low-fat vanilla yogurt instead of ice cream! It's creamier that way and way, way, more healthy! I love ice cream too, but that's just too much sugar for breakfast.

Ice cream for breakfast! Genius! Use fat-free ice cream. No guilt. Delicious!
