Sausage Biscuit Bites

Sausage Biscuit Bites

(10 servings)    Printable Version
  • 1 7.5-ounce tube of refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 Tablespoon melted butter
  • 5 teaspoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 8-ounce package brown and serve sausage links
This recipe makes 40 breakfast bites.

On a lightly floured, flat surface, roll out each biscuit from the tube into a 4-inch round. Brush each round with melted butter. Sprinkle each round with equal amounts of Parmesan. Season each one with oregano.

Place a sausage link in the middle of each biscuit round. Roll the the round so the sausage is blanketed by the dough. Cut each one of these sausage tubes into four bite-sized pieces. Place a toothpick in each piece so they'll stay together in the oven (also makes a nice handle for serving).

Place all of the pieces on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.

This is a great addition to a brunch or a breakfast for a large group. Just make sure you use a brown-and-serve sausage or any pre-cooked sausage since he oven time isn't long enough for uncooked sausage.
