Munch's Marble Mocha Java
(2 servings) Printable Version
- 2 cups of milk
- 4 teaspoons good coffee
- 7 cubes of dark chocolate
- 3 teaspoons Damara sugar
- cream
O.K , Heat the milk in the saucepan taking care not to burn it so do it on a low heat, like a simmer. Melt in you chocolate and add the sugar.
Now separately make some fresh coffee, enough for only 1 person and add this to the milk. Make it pretty strong though. Stir all the mixture together and froth with a froth stick if you have one, if not don't worry. Now hold your cream above the cup about 16" and slowly trickle the cream into the coffee. You will notice that it forms a swirling tube on top of the surface resembling marble!! Awesome!! Enjoy...
Quite rich but dang tasty! Something tasty and different for your next weekend brunch.

I think this recipe is meant to say 'Demerara sugar' and not 'Damara sugar'. Demerara is sticky brown sugar from England. I looked up the other spelling and couldn't find anything.

Can you clarify what is meant by "cubes" of chocolate? How many ounces would this be?

Try espresso, instead of coffee. It's more pungent compared to regular coffee. Yum!
