Formerly located at 206 Pasteur Street in District 3, Wayne McCoy's Texas Bar BQ is the best American restaurant in Saigon.

It's specialties are steaks and ribs.

But breakfast is mighty nice, even though the restaurant doesn't open until 10:00. Hey, breakfast items are great for lunch. They serve breakfast until 2:00 pm.

The items are eggs cooked any way you like with bacon, sausage (American style), steak, and a few other choices. Biscuits and gravy are good. So are the pancakes.

The coffee they serve at breakfast is made American style. That is, it comes from a coffee pot. Coffee pots are unknown in Vietnam. Normally, a filter goes on top of the cup. So when you need a refill, you have to wait five minutes for the coffee to be made again. I think Wayne has the only coffee pot in Vietnam (I forgot to bring mine when I moved here!)

Highly recommended.
