Brown Sugar Pancake Syrup

Brown Sugar Pancake Syrup

(20 servings)    Printable Version
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • a pinch of salt
Bring all ingredients to a boil. Once the sugar is dissolved the syrup is ready to serve.

You can also store this and serve corld or at room temperature like store-bought syrup.


I serve this to my kids if we run out of maple syrup from the store. They love it.

Thanks for the recipe! I decided to make pancakes only to find out that we ran out of syrup. Needless to say, my dad wasn't happy. I live in New England and there's a blizzard out there so I couldn't run to the store, so I found this recipe and it tastes just like syrup! Thank you again!
