Graham Cracker French Toast

Graham Cracker French Toast

(2 servings)    Printable Version
  • 1 large egg - beaten
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 5 slices of raisin bread
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 2 Tablespoons butter - for frying
In a large shallow bowl, combine the egg and orange juice.

Place the graham cracker crumbs on a plate.

Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture then drag through the crumbs to coat both sides.

In a frying pan over medium-high heat, melt the butter, then fry both sides of each piece of bread until golden brown.

Serve warm with additional softened butter and warm maple syrup.

The orange juice adds a little zing that plays well with the graham flavor. You can replace the juice with milk if you like.

Would it make a difference if I chose not to use the raisin bread?
