Rice Krinkles
From: Post
Rice Krinkles (full name: Sugar Coated Rice Krinkles) disappeared in 1969, making room for Post's new puffed rice cereal, a fruit-flavored cereal meant to resemble little rocks. Today, you know this descendant of Rice Krinkles as Fruity Pebbles. The cereal was also sold under the name Sugar Sparkled Rice Krinkles. During that time, the box listed the ingredients as rice, sugar, salt, corn syrup and honey, along with an infusion of iron, niacin and vitamin B1. Company Description: Founded by C.W. Post, the company began in 1895 in Battle Creek, Michigan under the name Postum Cereals. Their first product was a coffee substitute called Postum. The first breakfast cereal to come from the company was Grape-Nuts in 1897... Read on and see all cereals from Post Featuring:

We want Rice Krinkles back because we love it. Get rid of Fruity Pebbles because Rice Krinkles is a delicious classic. Comment submitted: 2/18/2013 (#10883) By Rick

My all-time favorite cereal. Would love to see it back in stores. Comment submitted: 1/28/2013 (#10570) By Hungry hanna
They discontinued it because the character on the box was Asian. Unpopular while we participated in Vietnam. That was then, we are a more accepting society today. Not so ignorant. Bring back Rice Krinkles, please! Comment submitted: 1/27/2013 (#10557) By ghostrider (Team Breakfast Member)
I wrote to post about this and they did answer me. I was told that they had no intention of bringing it back. What a shame. You can't even buy a sweet cereal any more. It's not political correct. The heck with correct. Bring it back in its original recipe. Comment submitted: 1/8/2013 (#10321) By andy f (Team Breakfast Member)
It was changed to Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles. Comment submitted: 1/4/2013 (#10288) By Needles
Obviously one of the best cereals of the boomer generation, currently number 11 in all-time popularity. I would buy this cereal on my next visit to the market if it was available! Comment submitted: 11/30/2012 (#10062) By KrinkleLvr P.
