Crockpot Granola Casserole

Crockpot Granola Casserole

(8 servings)    Printable Version
  • 2 cups of your favorite lightly sweetened granola cereal
  • 4 large apples - peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons melter butter
The instructions are easy. Place all ingredients into the crock pot - apples on the bottom. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. Best served with milk.

It might take 8 hours, but it's worth it. Granola and fresh apples cook down into a tasty hot breakfast.

I made this. It is very yummy. I think the juice in the apples give it enough liquid. We ate it with milk. I will try cream next time.

Melba... I haven't tried this yet, but I think I will soon. The ingredients do sound yummy! But I believe that the apples will produce enough liquid when they warm. I make homemade applesauce... just peeled and cut apples in a saucepan on low heat for a few hours, with sugar as desired, but no need for any extra liquid because of the water content in the apples. So I'm assuming the same will go for this recipe.

Has anyone tried this one yet. I love the ingredients, but wouldn't more liquid be needed to slow cook that long? Not sure.
