![]() Kahi (Iraq)(1 serving) Printable Version
Brush each of the fillo sheets with butter and stack them. Fold the stack two or three times to create a rectangle the size of your palm. Brush this with butter and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake according to directions on the fillo dough. Remove from oven. Drizzle generously with honey and serve. This is a simple variation on a classic Jewish Babylonian puffed pastry. It is often enjoyed in Iraq at breakfast time. Mr Breakfast would like to thank Bennett for this recipe. Recipe number 1769. The flavors are contradictory, yet they really support each other. This is my first time trying it. Comment submitted: 2/26/2013 (#15240) From Sabeen
