Krumbles

Krumbles From: Kellogg's
Introduced in 1912

Memorable tag lines:
  • Crisp shreds of Golden Goodness... a dish that's a winner for wartime!
  • The new whole wheat food with the delicious flavor originated by the Kellogg's Toasted CornFlake Co.
  • All wheat. Ready to Eat.
According to cereal legend, this cereal began as an attempt by Kellogg's to make shredded wheat biscuits. Unfortunately... or fortunately... the biscuits crumbled in the package. Instead of backtracking to make the perfect biscuit, Kellogg's decided to crumble the broken biscuits even more and sell them as Krumbles cereal.

Company Description: Kellogg's was originally founded as the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company in 1906. The company's founder Will Keith Kellogg is credited with inventing corn flakes along with his brother John Harvey Kellogg. The company was renamed the Kellogg Company in 1922... Loved it. It was my favorite cereal growing up. Really hope Kellogg's considers bringing it back. We need it desperately - there are WAY too many sugar coated, flavored cereals on the market. Kids are not the only ones eating cereal.

I am 66 and my brother and I were recently talking about Krumbles. It was our favorite cereal of all time, also my Mother's favorite. Bringing back the original recipe would be great!

I just loved Krumbles and can't understand why Kellogg's stopped making such a great cereal. I've never, and I mean never, tasted anything like this delicious cereal. - Very Hungry Gal

My favorite when I was a kid (born '59). When they took it away I was very upset (I don't like change). I would buy them again if they brought them back.
