Sweet Laurette's is kind of like finding France in small-town Washington. The service may be slow at times, but the food and ambience makes up for it. Specials are usually available on the chalk board, but the standards are delicious too. The Frenchman's Toast served with apple/pear compote makes my mouth water. Pair any meal with a classic latte or a cafe borgia (orange mocha), and your morning will take a turn for the better.
