Had a run of great luck recently. The string continued when we came acroos Apple Betty only because the advertised breakfast at the hotel in Vernon Downs was no longer served on weekdays - if it ever was.

The restaurant must be vintage considering the patina on the knotty wood siding but it is very well maintained. Wouldn't seem easy to do with dirt cheap prices.

My wife got a steak and eggs for $6.75. It was no small, gristly piece of meat that she couldn't finish. I can tell you it was tender and cooked rare the way we like it because I had to eat part of it. My omelet was actually a bit overstuffed with ham but OK.

Coffee was good.

Good place for a stranger to run across. Sometimes you get lucky.
