This European deli-style cafe allows you to peruse both the menu and the market casually as you order at the counter and select your own seat. All of the menu items seem to feature fresh market ingredients. I had a bacon, mushroom and cheese omelette which was very good especially since they didn't skimp on the bacon... very flavorful. The fact that it was served with salad may put some hardcore breakfast lovers off - those who usually opt for hashed browns or bacon. But it was actually very refreshing to have a small salad for breakfast and it seemed to jive with ambiance of eating outdoors... as we chose to do.

Another plus for the French Market Cafe is their freshly made bread and baguettes which not only added to the flavor of our breakfasts, but also made the entire cafe smell especially inviting.

Eating with a small group of people, I was able to sample a couple of their quiches and their onion tart... all of which, I'm happy to report were excellent.

Breakfast at the French Market Cafe is little on the pricey side, averaging between $12 and $15 per person if you include coffee and bread. But if you're willing to pay the price, it's a pretty good breakfast in fun and lively atmosphere.
