Breakfast is the way to go here. This is a little Mom and Pop corner tavern/restaurant serving the neighborhood of Highlandtown. They have a special every morning... 99 cent breakfast! Coffee is separate though.
While the coffee is your average restaurant variety, not great, not bad, you come here for the excellent value and the great home fries. Filling, fantastic and NOT health food.
For the price you get two eggs, done your way, a huge helping of marvelous chunky home fries and a choice of sausage or bacon and two pieces of toast. It is a terrific spread for just a little out of pocket and you can double size it, waddle out and still have money in your pocket. And it's addictive. You go once and you keep coming back. Pretty soon, Dee, the marvelous waitress knows you and has your coffee and food just about ready when you walk in the door. It's all about atmosphere, good food and a great price.
