A classic greasy spoon counter joint straight out of the 1930s. 8 stools at the counter and 3 two-tops along the north wall. Everything is cooked on the ancient (it was new when the restaurant was new) grill.

Service by the single cook, bottlewasher, wait person is pretty good even when the place is busy. If you want a milk shake for breakfast you can get that. Breakfast (and all menu items) available 24/7 except Thanksgiving and Xmas when they are closed.

A Taylorville tradition and part of the rite of passage of nearly all Central Illinois youth.
