Popovers

(12 servings)

  • 2 and 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 large eggs
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Generously grease popover pans.

Pour milk into large mixing bowl. Add flour and salt. With wire whisk beat until well blended. (Do not over beat). Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Pour batter into pans about 3/4 full. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes, then reduce heat to 325 degrees and continue baking 15 to 20 minutes.

Serve with butter, preserves or honey.

Note: If popovers do not rise properly set oven temperature 25 degrees higher.

Just 5 ingredients and 1 of them is love. When done right, these turn out light, tender and pop-up in the pan.
