Six Grain Crockpot Breakfast

(8 servings)

  • 2 Tablespoons uncooked barley (3/4 ounce)
  • 2 Tablespoons uncooked millet (3/4 ounce)
  • 2 Tablespoons uncooked cornmeal (3/4 ounce)
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats (3/4 ounce)
  • 2 and 1/2 Tablespoons uncooked Bulgur (1 ounce)
  • 2 and 1/2 Tablespoons uncooked brown rice (1 ounce)
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 Tablespoons chopped dried mixed fruit (4 1/2 ounces)
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla
Mix all grains with dried fruit and cinnamon right the in crock pot.

Stir in water and vanilla. Cover and cook 6 to 8 hours on low. Stir before serving and add more water if needed. Serve hot. Topped with brown sugar, drizzled with maple syrup or your favorite fruit topping.


Not only is it delicious and hearty, but it also promotes regularity.
