Crepes a la Neige (Crepes w/ Snow)

(1 serving)

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 and 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup snow - fresh hard packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup oil
Mix all the ingredients together to make a smooth dough. Drop a spoonful of the batter into 1 inch of hot fat. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Serve with molasses or grated maple sugar.

While I'm thankful for this recipe submission, I look at the ingredients and have to say this recipe is a dud. The liquid to flour ratio is really off. I'm leaving the recipe up for a while in case anyone wants to comment with a more usable recipe. Cooking with snow is a fun idea. Please comment if you know of a proven way to do it right.



Let it snow! This recipe actually has a cup of freshly packed snow in the ingredients list.
