Easy Poached Eggs With Bread

(2 servings)

  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 slices of bread - torn into pieces
  • 2 Tablespoons margarine
  • 2 cups water
Place torn bread in a microwave-safe bowl and dot with margarine. Microwave on medium for 30 seconds.

In a small sauce pan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Crack eggs into a bowl and gently slip the eggs into the pan. Let boil for about 1 and 1/2 minutes. Do not over boil. Use the pan's lid to drain all of the water.

Pour the eggs over the bread and quickly mix with a fork. Divide into 2 bowls.


In 2 minutes (not counting time to make the water boil), you can make this very simple poached egg recipe.
