Cranberry Sauce Smoothie
Wondering what to do with leftover cranberry sauce? I bet you didn't think of a smoothie. This is an easy recipe to modify to your own tastes. Try adding a few new berries to the mix like raspberries or blueberries. Try grape juice or grapefruit juice instead of the orange juice. I'll sometimes add a tablespoon of protein powder. Have fun and have a great breakfast!
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
1 medium banana - chopped
2 dashes cinnamon
3 or 4 ice cubes
How To Make A Cranberry Sauce Smoothie
Combine all the ingredients in the blender. Pulse until mixture is smooth - about 15 seconds. If needed, add milk or additional orange juice to get the constancy you like.
For this recipe, whole berry cranberry sauce or jellied cranberry sauce work equally well.
Trying to figure out what to do with that leftover cranberry sauce? Just drink it. It's mixture of sweet and tart make it a great addition to this creamy, fruity holiday favorite.
