Yummy And Easy French Toast

(4 servings)

  • 4 or 5 slices of bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • butter
  • pancake syrup
In a large shallow bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla.

Melt a Tablespoon of butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat (or you could coat the pan with cooking spray for healthier French toast).

Dip each bread slice in the egg mixture and coat both sides.

Transfer bread to frying pan and fry both sides to golden brown. Serve with an additional sprinkle of cinnamon and top with syrup.

Cooking Notes From Recipe Submitter: I've added ingredient amounts, but I usually just eyeball it. As long as you have a couple eggs and more than a splash of milk, you can make French toast. Sometimes I like the French toast to be more eggy, so I'll barely use any milk at all. You can top with butter, but you don't really need to. It's good with just syrup. A dash of nutmeg can also be added to the egg and milk mixture.

A very basic French toast recipe - good for people making it for the first time.
