Panko-Crusted Bacon

(6 servings)

  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup panko crispy bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Beat the egg in a small bowl or mixing cup. Place panko crumbs on a plate.

Dredge each slice of bacon through the beaten egg and then through the panko crumbs. Press both sides of each slice gently into the crumbs for a more even coating.

Transfer slices to an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until crisp and golden brown.

Panko-Crusted Bacon

How do you make crispy bacon even better? Give it a crunchy coating. Panko is a crispy, flakey Japanese bread crumb found in most grocery stores.
