(2 servings)

- 2 bananas
-
1 cup frozen raspberries
-
1 cup frozen blueberries
-
1 cup orange juice
-
1 teaspoon vanilla
-
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon (or to taste)
-
1 teaspoon maple syrup
-
2-3 ice cubes
This smoothie has a very intense fruit flavor. Adding cinnamon (and vanilla) to the mix of fruit and juice creates a sort of fruit candy flavor. It winds up tasting more like a Jolly Rancher candy than a glass of juice. I found the fruit flavor too intense, so I mellowed it out by adding 3 Tablespoon of vanilla yogurt. I enjoyed it much better that way. I would also recommend skipping the maple syrup. The fruit and juice provide plenty of sweetness. (This recipe was submitted in 2002. It was tested and photographed in February 2014.)

How to Make A Cinnamon Fruit Smoothie
Put all ingredients into a blender (add ice last) and blend until smooth. It tastes especially good with lots of cinnamon!! Variation: add barley malt instead of syrup. One fresh peach is also a delicious addition.

A blend of bananas, berries and juice with a dash of cinnamon and a hint of vanilla. Great for a breakfast or for an after-dinner treat!
