Orange Honey Butter

  • 1/2 cup softened butter (one stick; preferably unsalted)
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 1 Tablespoon grated orange zest
In a mixing bowl, beat the butter until it's fluffy. Add the honey and orange zest and beat until well blended.

I like a lot of orange flavor so I put in the complete Tablespoon of zest. My original recipe called for 2 teaspoons of orange zest. I've also seen similar recipes that call for 2 Tablespoons of orange marmalade in place of the zest, so you might want to try that too.

This is my current favorite topping for French Toast. It's simple and fresh tasting.
