Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal

(1 serving)

  • 1/2 packet no sugar added chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast
  • 1 Tablespoon creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup dry instant oatmeal
  • 1 packet Splenda
I tested this recipe using a full packet of powdered hot chocolate mix as opposed to the 1/2 packet of Carnation Instant Breakfast. No additional sweetener was necessary so I skipped the Splenda. For the oats, I microwaved 1/2 cup quick oats with 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup milk for 90 seconds. Then I stirred in the cocoa and the peanut butter. For a two minute breakfast, this was terrific. I'd make it again. (This recipe was submitted in 2008. Original instructions below. It was tested and photographed in October 2014.)

How To Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal

Cook oatmeal as directed. Stir in remaining ingredients. That's all. Enjoy!

Tip: You can make this and then refrigerate it to have in the morning. Microwave for about 45 seconds - stirring once at 25 seconds - and it's just as good as when it was just made.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal

Tastes just like a delicious no bake cookie. A quick concoction that uses packets of instant oatmeal and Carnation instant breakfast.
