Nanabutter Toast

(1 serving)

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 Tablespoon natural peanut butter
  • 1 slice wheat bread
  • raisins or granola - optional
1. Spread the peanut butter on the toast.

2. Slice the banana into 3 long slices, about 1/3 of an inch thick. Lay the banana pieces across the bread.

2.b. If you're going to use raisins, sprinkle them over the top. If you're using granola, don't put it on until after step 3.

3. Put the sandwich-thing in a toaster oven (or oven) and toast on medium until the bread is crispy and the banana and peanut butter are hot.

4. Serve with coffee.

A healthy, protein filled, fruity toast that will definitely get you going in the morning! Also great as a midnight snack with a cup of de-caf or tea.
