Fruit Juice Oatmeal

(1 serving)

  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup rolled oats
This is one of the most convenient oatmeal recipes you're going to find. You basically toss 2 ingredients in a bowl at night and wake up to oatmeal in the morning. It tastes fine, but it does need some help. I'm not a big fan of cold oatmeal, so I put it in the microwave for 30 seconds in the morning. (This also helped the oats soak up the minuscule amount of juice that remained unabsorbed.) I used apple juice which made my oatmeal plenty sweet, but the flavor was a little bit boring. Adding a couple teaspoons of brown sugar helped that a lot. In the end, I'll always like cooked oatmeal better, but this did work. The oats softened and completely took on the flavor of the juice. How To Make Fruit Juice Oatmeal

The night before, put all ingredients in a bowl and cover with cling film. Leave in fridge over night and enjoy in the morning.

If you prefer warm oatmeal, just put it in the microwave for 30 or 40 seconds.

Garnish with fresh fruit and a drizzle of honey.

Try this with any fruit juice. Apple and orange are my favorites. This recipe requires only 2 ingredients.
