Alpen Double Raisin French Toast

(4 servings)

  • 1 cup Alpen Cereal (available from health food stores)
  • 1 loaf Acme Bakery Double Raisin Bread (or equiv.)
  • 1 cup Egg Beaters (or any egg substitute)
  • Wheat Germ
Thick-slice the bread if necessary. Dip in egg, then press into Alpen cereal. Cook in non-stick pan over medium-low heat, five minutes per side. Sprinkle wheat germ over just before serving.

I know this recipe sounds ridiculously easy, but I cook a lot and I have to say that this is one of the best I've created. Simple, quick and unbelieveably good.
