Grilled Cheese Crust Perdu

(2 servings)

  • leftover crusts from 1 or 2 grilled cheese sandwiches
  • 1 to 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • grated sharp cheddar cheese
Spray a small casserole, ramekin, or baking dish with cooking spray. Arrange crusts in bottom of dish.

Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together and pour over crusts. Top with grated cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.


My son loves grilled cheese but won't eat the crusts. However, he gobbles them up prepared like this for breakfast - and so does everyone else in the house!
