Cheese And Apple Breakfast Pie

  • 1 9-inch store-bought pie crust
  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 3/4 cup pecans - chopped
  • 6 slices bacon - cooked / crumbled / drained
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese - shredded
  • 3/4 cup grated Havarti cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place the pie crust on a cookie sheet. Bake pie crust alone for 5 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove crust and cool slightly.

Spread the apple pie filling on the crust. Spread the ricotta cheese, bacon crumbles and pecans over the apple filling. Cover with the shredded mild cheddar and Havarti cheeses.

Place back into the oven until slightly browned. (15 to 25 minutes in my oven).

Cut into slices and serve.


This pie may be an acquired taste. But once I acquired the taste, I couldn't get enough! It features apple filling, bacon and pecans.
