Thanks!! I happened to have all the ingredients at home so it came together really quickly. I used 3 mini heart shaped spring form pans and they worked out really well. My daughter was a happy camper. I haven’t made rice krispy treats in probably 12 years!! I couldn’t get my icing to come out that white though

Thanks Foogos! I hope your girlfriend comes through for you. Tell her I say hi. Regarding homemade cereals, beyond granola… I’ve also made flakes (huge thin cereal cracker that you crumble) and tiny, tiny cookies to mimic Cookie Crisp. If I do more, I will definitely post. I think the reason that you don’t see a lot of recipes is because it’s pretty time-consuming and costs more to make than to buy a box. But I’ll keep thinking about it. Stay tuned…

Unrelated, have you ever written about making your own cereal from scratch? I’m obsessed with the stuff, from Lucky Charms and Basic Four to Kashi Go Lean Crunch and Reese’s Puffs. I want to make my own concoctions, but all I can find online are these crummy (literally!) recipes for glorified granola.

Help me, Mr. Breakfast. You’re my only hope.
