Biscuit Pudding

  • 6 biscuits - cold
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 2 large eggs - lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
Soak crumbled biscuits in hot water for a few minutes; add sugar, butter, nutmeg, raisins, beaten eggs, and milk, mixing after each addition.

Pour into 1-quart greased baking dish; bake in preheated 350 degree oven for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until browned.
