Apple Toast

Apple Toast

(4 servings)    Printable Version
  • 4 slices bread
  • 3 medium apples
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • butter - melted
Peel and core the apple. Slice it into small wedges.

Butter a baking pan. Put the slices of bread in the baking pan. Mix the sugar and melted butter together.

Dip each slice of apple in the melted butter. Arrange slices of apple on top of slices of bread. Put baking pan in oven.

Let it bake for about 10 minutes, or until apple slices are brown and tender. Then serve.

Any kind of apple will do. We like to use McIntosh apples from my uncle's farm in Upstate New York.

I used about 1/4 cup butter and added cinnamon to the mix, then cooked it at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. My kids loved it!

Very tasty... I used brown bread, though I think white would be better.
