Irish Cream Breakfast Bananas

Irish Cream Breakfast Bananas

(6 servings)    Printable Version
  • 6 large bananas
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup butter - melted
  • 2 Tablespoons Irish cream liqueur
Peel the bananas and slice them in half lengthwise. Carefully, place banana halves in a butter-greased baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Mix melted butter and liqueur together and drizzle over bananas.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 20 minutes.

Tip: These are great on their own, but sometimes I like to spoon the baked banana into servings of oatmeal for a special healthy treat.

Baked bananas with buttery Irish cream. Makes a great side dish or have a double serving with some juice and call that breakfast.

Even better if you sprinkle it with cinnamon and sugar before you bake it.
