Budyn z Kielbasek (Poland)

  • 1 dozen small pork sausages
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped chives
Fry sausages until crisp and brown. Drain off most of the fat.

Beat eggs for 2 minutes. Add flour, salt, and milk. Mix until smooth. Add chives. Pour batter over sausages in frying pan.

Bake in 450 degree oven for 15 minutes, then in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Turn out on platter. Serve piping hot.


Sausage links are covered in a savory, eggy, pancake-like batter and baked.

There must be an error in this recipe. I don't think the author really meant to say that we should bake it at 350 for 1 minute.
