![]() Applesauce Oatmeal Muffins(10 servings) Printable Version
Beat egg, then add oil & milk, stir in applesauce. Add the dry mix to the wet mix until just combined. Spoon into pans & bake for 20 minutes or until cooked. Remember the Brady Bunch where Peter Brady kept saying "Poke Chops and Apple Shause!". That wasn't as funny as a lot of people made it out to be. This recipe uses applesauce for sweetness and flavor. Not very good at all. Comment submitted: 7/5/2007 (#3159) From Alex
They were kind of dry, but otherwise pretty good! Comment submitted: 1/7/2007 (#1141) From KidsLikedIt
I added more cinnamon, used 1/2 cup whole wheat flour with 1/2 cup white and added 1/4 cup ground flaxseed meal and raisins (add a bit more applesauce to give mositure). The kids liked it. Comment submitted: 8/31/2006 (#255) From Mr Breakfast (Team Breakfast Member)Hi Katao - I agree. That's a lot of powder. I'd drop that amount to 1 teaspoon. I'll try to get in touch with the submitter and see if they made a misprint. If anyone tries this recipe with the reduced powder, let me know how it goes. Thanks! Too much baking powder--they have a baking powder after taste. Comment submitted: 8/24/2006 (#208) You Might Also Like These Recipes:
