Guava Smoothie

Guava Smoothie

(2 servings)    Printable Version
  • 1 11-ounce can of guava nectar (about 1 and 1/2 cups)
  • 1 large banana
  • 6 or 7 strawberries
  • 1 6-ounce container vanilla yogurt (about 3/4 cup)
  • 4 or 5 ice cube
Guava has an interesting tropical flavor that's somewhere between a mango and a sweet strawberry. When you mix that flavor with actual strawberries and banana, the result is a smoothie that's really fresh and satisfying. This would also be good with 1/2 cup of frozen pineapple chunks or mango chunks. It would also be good with orange juice in place of half of the yogurt. This is a good recipe to experiment with, but I can also vouch that it's perfectly terrific as written. (This recipe was conceived, tested and photographed in April 2016.)
