Delicious Citrus Bites

Delicious Citrus Bites

(1 serving)    Printable Version
  • 2 oranges or 4 Mandarins
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • about 1/4 cup beer
  • powdered sugar
  • olive oil
Peal oranges and remove all the seeds. Join flour, eggs, sugar, salt and milk together - mix well. Warm up the beer to room temperature and mix beer into it. Keep adding more flour until you will get a thick creamy mixture. Warm up the pan with oil. DIP pieces of oranges in the creamy mixture until fully damped and fry both sides until golden color. Once fried sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Serve hot with juice. This meal is so good that it is addictive. Have a delicious refreshing breakfast. -W. Zgodowski

Oh give it a rest, Mango. MOST alcohol cooks out when used in heated/baked/fried recipes. Even that portion which doesn't, shouldn't be an issue for those who don't have problem with booze. I sure hope you've never baked anything your family with vanilla extract because if you ever have, you're off the wagon, tooty-fruity, and you sauced up your family.

This is NOT a good family recipe. It has alchohol in it! I don't drink and I never will. To people who drink: STOP!!!
