Overnight Oatmeal

Overnight Oatmeal

(1 serving)    Printable Version
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 Tablespoon agave nectar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a few dashes of cinnamon (to your preference)
  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk (or any dairy you prefer)
  • 1 sliced banana
  • chopped nuts - optional
Mix all ingredients together and let sit in fridge overnight or at least 3 hours to give enough time for the oats to absorb the milk.

*DO NOT USE INSTANT OATS, THEY AREN'T HEARTY ENOUGH TO HOLD UP TO THE HOURS OF SOAKING AND WILL BECOME TOO MUSHY*

If this doesn't sound very appealing to you cold, you can always add a few more splashes of milk and pop it in the microwave, its good either way! Its perfect to make the night before if you seem to have jam packed mornings, and its so incredibly filling, and not to mention good for you too :)

Oh my goodness! Made it, then microwaved it in the morning. Loved how easy it was. The only thing I did different was to mash the banana instead of slice it.
