![]() Seam Schooner Sandwich(1 serving) Printable Version
Cover it all with another pancake. Spread butter and jam over the top, and pour on the maple syrup. I remember this breakfast from when I was a boy nearly 60 years ago. this was ordered by a number of the crew aboard the coastwise tankers sailing along the East coast from Texas to New England. Crews claimed it came from the schooners that sailed from Washington and Oregon' carrying lumber to San Francisco in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Add juice, toast, and some bacon or sausage and you've got a great breakfast. An oldie but a goodie; a simple recipe for a pancake sandwich. Mr Breakfast would like to thank howard for this recipe.
