Homestyle Breakfast Potatoes

Place hot potatoes into ice cold water. Peel skins off, they should come off easily with your hands.
Chop potatoes into cubes. Heat butter and oil in a skillet. Mince or chop the onion. Fry onion in skillet until soft and browned. Add chopped potato and spices and fry until golden brown - stirring occasionally. Enjoy.
Breakfast potatoes for the working man. Nothing fancy - just potatoes, seasoning and a little onion. The great American breakfast side dish.

Awesome! Loved it! Just one thing: you need to remove onions from skillet then add them again to warm them through after the potatoes are browned, otherwise they will burn. Also a dash of chilli powder and a teaspoon of butter makes them even more amazing. Thanks!

These were amazing! I had never made breakfast potatoes before, so I didn't really know what to expect. But I am so glad that this was the recipe I used, because it was simple and very good. Thank you for posting!

Great recipe. I added the following to mine:
- a bit more butter/oil during cooking
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 whole eggs, 2 egg whites
- 2 slices 2% American cheese
