Sausage Biscuits & Gravy

Sausage Biscuits & Gravy

(6 servings)    Printable Version
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3/4 cup onion - chopped
  • 3/4 cup celery - chopped
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms - sliced
  • 1 pound Jimmy Dean regular sausage
  • 1 pound Jimmy Dean hot sausage
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 can grand biscuits
  • 1/4 cup margarine
Saute first four ingredients in margarine until translucent.

Add sausage and brown.

Thicken with flour and add milk until desired thickness, about 2 cups.

Spoon over biscuit.

A real easy way to make deluxe biscuits and gravy. It has fresh vegetables and two kinds of sausage which means lots of flavor.

I have been eating grand biscuits for years. I like the low fat ones. But the last six cans [large 8 count] they won't rise - they stay flat and taste bad. I could not eat them. I buy them at Walmart in Gun Barrel City, TX. They smelt bad too . Thanks - Wayne Austin (attheman64#embarqmail.com)

The recipe looks weird but was the best I've ever had.
