(1 serving)    Printable Version
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • water (as directed)
  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
  • cinnamon and splenda - to taste
  • 1 scoop (about 1/4 cup) vanilla protein powder
  • Da Vinnci French Vanilla sugar free syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons slivered almonds
Cook oats in water in a small crockpot.

After about 1 hour stir in protein powder, pumpkin, and syrup. Continue cooking about 15 min. then top with almonds.

Canned pumpkin is the ingredient that makes this oatmeal taste like pumpkin pie. Low in sugar with a protein boost from protein powder.

I have actually been making this for a while but without the protein powder. I also try other flavors of the syrups. This works good with instant oatmeal too. I use 1/2 cup pumpkin per packet and add a little more water than they suggest.
