Maple Blueberry Syrup

Maple Blueberry Syrup

(1 serving)    Printable Version
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and cornstarch. Gradually blend in maple syrup and water. Cook, stirring, until thick and bubbly, about 1 minute. Stir in blueberries, lemon juice, and nutmeg. Cool slightly.

Pour over waffles, french toast, or any other breakfast food and enjoy!

Trust me, it's sweet.

Take maple syrup to the next level with an infusion of blueberries, brown sugar and a kiss of nutmeg and lemon juice.

Worked like a charm. I used frozen berries and had it over standard waffles from a mix. Very delicious.
