Pear Spread

  • 4 cups pears - peeled / cored / sliced
  • 1 unpeeled lemon - thinly sliced
  • 1 and 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 Tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary
Makes 3 and 1/2 pints.

In a medium sauce pan. boil all ingredients except rosemary until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes - stirring often. Stir in rosemary. Put in jars. Process in water bath for 10 minutes.


This is the #1 reason I love fresh pears!
