I wish I'd known about The Coffee Shop years ago. It's hard to find breakfasts this good anywhere, particularly at such bargain prices. This place doesn't skimp on quality or portions.

On the date of my visit, I had a Western Omelet (ham, bacon, cheese, green peppers, onions, and tomatoes) served with homemade biscuits and gravy for $4.50. Where else on earth can you get a deal like that?

The omelet was uniquely and beautifully presented open-face, which I've never seen before, but I loved it nonetheless. The biscuits and gravy truly hit the spot for me, but you can also select grits and toast.

Hard to believe you can still get coffee served in a real mug for $1.10, but that's exactly what I had.

The Doctor's Building Coffee Shop is also open for lunch, featuring burgers, sandwiches, salads, cold plates, hot lunch plates, and a daily meat-and-two special. A little something for everyone.

Incidentally, the iced tea is wonderful.

(It sad they're closed on weekends. This is the type place that would pack like sardines for Saturday breakfast.)
