I've been eating at Arleta Library for years. If you have an appreciation for the Art of Cooking, then this is your place! It's a place for "Foodies". In other words, if a ton of hash browns and biscuits and gravy is your thing, then go to a greasy spoon, Arleta Library will blow you away with the incredible menu, including great
"Space Monkey Coffee", homemade jam & scones! Try then decide for yourself. My guess is that you'll kick yourself for not finding out about this little piece of breakfast gold in SE Portland sooner!

Over priced and pretentious. Breakfast for 2 was $32? You can only get scrambled eggs. 1 piece of toast? Not worth the effort, definitely not worth the price. Going to Denny's would be better.

This restaurant has a pretentious atmosphere. The food is overpriced and the portions are small. The menu (at least the week day menu) is very limited. I will not be back.

Best breakfast to be found in Portland. The good folk at Arleta use fresh local ingredients to craft gourmet dishes at not-quite-gourmet prices. There's usually a wait for weekend brunch, but during the warm seasons they have a patio out back as well. Portland's "best biscuits and gravy" are indeed that, and the spicy Tuscan sausage scramble is also delicious, not to mention their inspired specials and quiches of the day.

Although they're always busy, the friendly service never wavers. A must-eat.
