LOVE Ronnie's Diner! I drove past a million times until one day, riding with the boyfriend, I pointed and said "we're just never going to make it there" and he promptly u-turned into the parking lot. Good move!

We are now Ronnie's regulars. There are a few things worth noting about Ronnie's:

1. It's very customer friendly - we told dude it was our first time there. He pointed out their best items and finished with "and if you don't see what you are looking for, we'll make it for you. Consider the menu a jumping off point."

2. It's cheap - $12 for the filet mignon and eggs special? Yes please! Regular menu items run about $6 or $7.

3. The specials are amazing - did I mention filet mignon and eggs? I was afraid it wouldn't be great... but it was REALLY REALLY great.

4. It's really best for breakfast and lunch - I've been for dinner and it's...fine... but really the breakfast foods and the sandwiches and salads are the best part (and yes you can get a sandwich for dinner, I am just not that kind of person).

5. You're not here for the decor - it's beachy and casual and you could totally come in your PJ's if it strikes you.

I am the kind of person that orders the same thing every time, but not at Ronnie's. Everything is fresh and authentic (meaning the turkey in the turkey sandwich is actual hand-carved turkey, not deli-processed) and there are a lot of healthy options. And lots of yummy not healthy options! I think you are either a Ronnie's person or you are not a Ronnie's person and I venture to say that it is worth finding out.
